SF - The quirky and the colourful

I've had fun going through the hundreds of photos I took in San Francisco. Unfortunately, in my rush to get a bulk of them onto Facebook for family to see, I didn't notice at first that so many of them were overexposed. Oh well. Thanks to the wizardry of computers, I've tweaked quite a few photos, and am happy with the results. Hey, I'm still learning, and never claimed to be great at taking photos! I just enjoy it, that's all.

For today, I'm going to share some of the quirkier and colourful sights of San Francisco. Check back later for the scenic money shots...

  1. The photos are great - I wish I'd taken that many good ones. I can't believe though our trip was so long ago now that the pics were actually on a roll of film that needed to be developed. Shocking!

I love the shoes - they are memorials of some kind I take it. The family should be able to get an entire rockery into mine and still have room for a few succulents.

Looks like you had a great time. It really is a picturesque place and very easy to get around in a weekend so a perfect choice I think.

I'll bet J and the girls were glad to see you back though.

  2. There's nothing shocking about having pics on rolls of film! All the ones you've seen of my European adventures were on film. I remember being so sparing with the shots, not wanting to waste the film on potentially bad pics.

The shoes were in Alamo Square (near the Painted Ladies) and I thought they were so sweet. My shoes would also fit a lot of plants inside. A lot!

J did a great job with the girls, and they all had a fun weekend. Not a single story of complaint from him. He'd better be careful, or I'll be gunning for a trip to New York...

  4. Thank you ladies!

Yes, New York, New York... sigh. That one's going to be sitting in the pipeline for a while yet, I'd say. Unless we win the lottery! Then I'll be on the next plane.

  5. Do the New York thing. Go into hock. Otherwise you will regret it for eternity (as I am now doing).
